A court martial is a court convened for the
trial of persons subject to military
discipline who are accused of violations of
military laws. British courts martial are
governed by the code of the service
concerned-Naval Discipline, Army, or Air
Force acts, and in 1951 an appeal court was
established for all three services by the
Courts Martial (Appeals) Act.
